Participants will learn the importance of exercise and how it directly affects learning. For example, you need to raise heart rates to get oxygen to the brain cells. Activities that cross the midline engage both sides of the brain. Balance activities as well as tracking helps students with reading.
2. Many teachers are hesitant to engage in physical activity in the classroom because they are afraid to lose control and don't know how to get the students back on task. This presentation is packed with teaching tips and strategies to implement physical activity in the classroom with success.
3. Participants will walk away with an abundance of creative and easy activities to implement in the classroom. Many require little or no equipment and very little prep. Teachers will be able to do these activities the very next day in class.
