2. Be able to implement contemporary ethical principles by examining the difference between ideas(duties).

8. Be able to identify and criticize the ethical duties and actions of the athletic trainer when providing care.
TAKING THIS COURSE
This course consists of 1 lesson and a final exam.
The lesson consists of a video and or other lesson materials. For the final exam, participants can take a maximum of 2 attempts to achieve a passing score of 80% or higher. Participants who achieve a passing score can print out a Ohio OATA OTPTAT certificate of completion. Participants who do not pass the final exam after 2 attempts will need to re-pay for and repeat the entire course to attempt to earn credit.
When registering for this course, select Ohio for State. Age level does not apply, so just select any. Governing Body must be Ohio OATA, Specialty must be Ethics, and Student Role must be Athletic Trainer.
STUDENT REGISTRATION AND OHIO OATA COURSE INSTRUCTIONS
Students will first have to register as a student by filling out and submitting a completed Innovative CEUs, LLC (ICEU) student registration page .
On ICEU students registration page student needs to click on credentials top took bar on right to add Credentials. To qualify for all of the OHIO OATA courses: Student Credentials must be listed as indicated below:
Age Level: Does NOT apply, just pick one age level
Governing Body: Must be Ohio OATA
Specialty: must be Ethics
Student Role: must be Athletic Trainer
After setting their student credentials all available Ohio OATA Courses will be displayed on the students Home Page (Click on the Home Button).
The Ohio OATA Ethics course is seen on students ICEU Home Page, can be added to their cart by clicking the Add to Cart button.
After selecting Ohio OATA Ethics courses students want to purchase, they can check out of shopping cart and put in a COUPON Code if they have one prior to check out.
Course Completion Information:
A. 90 days to start course
B. Once course started, 7 days to complete course
After purchasing a course it will show on the Courses Not Started Page. (Top Navigation button - Courses Not Started).
To start any of these Ohio OATA courses, just click on the Click to Start link next to the course you want to start. Once a course has been started it will be moved to the Courses in Process.
On the Courses in Process ICEU Students Page, the students will start and complete the lesson (view lesson video) and then complete the Lesson Final Exam.
Completion of Course Final Exam. Then the course will be posted to the Completed Courses page.
Students need to complete end End of Course Survey on the Completed Course Page.
End of Course Survey will need to be completed by all students who successfully complete each Ohio OATA course final exam for them to generate their Ohio OATA OTPTAT CEU Certificates. (Certificates are always available for completed courses on Completed Course Page).

About the Instructor
Brian Hortz, Ph.D., ATC
Director of Sports Medicine
Dr. Brian Hortz just completed his 21st year at Denison University. In addition to his clinical work with Denison athletes, Hortz serves as an Associate Professor in the university's athletic training major. Dr. Hortz has an undergraduate degree from Denison University, Masters degree from Ohio University and a PhD from the Ohio State University. Dr. Hortz has served on the OTPTAT board for 9 years and has served in many roles from Joint Board Chair, Chair of the AT section, as well as other board assignments.
