Youth Mental Toughness Training for Youth Sport Athletes Course is for all Youth Coaches, Administrators, Parents, and Athletes. This course contains the following information in regards to sports psychology in youth sports:
1. Why the mental game?
2. What it is and how to train it
3. Offense and Defense mental skills
4. Common mental barriers to optimal play
5. Ways to enhance motivation and confidence
6. Pre-performance routines for optimal preparation.
Taking This Course
This course consists of 1 lessons and a final exam. Each lesson consists of a video and/or other lesson materials and a stage exam. Stage exams must be passed prior to continuing to the next lesson or taking the course Final exam. Stage exams must be retaken as many times as required in order to pass with an 80%.
Students only have 2 attempts to pass the course final exam. After passing the final exam (with a score of 80% of higher) the student will be able to print out a certificate of completion. If a student fails to pass the final in 2 attempts, you will be required to re-pay for the course and go through the complete course again.
Youth courses are designed for people working with children from 3-19 years old. Make sure you select the proper Governing Body when entering your credentials. (NOTE: For Youth courses, Governing body CAN'T be Middle School or High School)
Student Registration and ICEU Course Instructions
Students will first have to register as a student by filling out and submitting a completed Innovative CEUs, LLC (ICEU) student registration page .
On ICEU students Home Page student needs to click on credentials top took bar on right to add Credentials. To qualify for all of the ICEU Youth Coaching Courses: Student Credentials must be listed as indicated below:
Age Level: Any
Governing Body: Can't be either Middle School or High School
Student Role: Any
After setting their student credentials all available ICEU Youth Coaching Courses will be displayed on the students Home Page (Click on the Home Button).
Any of the ICEU Youth Coaching Courses seen on students ICEU Home Page, can be added to their cart by clicking the Add to Cart button.
After selecting all ICEU Youth Coaching Courses courses students want to purchase, they can check out of shopping cart and put in a COUPON Code if they have one prior to check out.
Course Completion Information:
A. 90 days to start course
B. Once course started, 5 days to complete course
After purchasing a course it will show on the Courses Not Started Page. (Top Navigation button - Courses Not Started).
To start any of these ICEU Youth Coaching courses, just click on the Click to Start link next to the course you want to start. Once a course has been started it will be moved to the Courses in Process.
On the Courses in Process ICEU Students Page, the students will start and complete the lesson (view lesson video) and then complete the Lesson Stage Exam.
Completion of Course Final Exam. Then the course will be posted to the Completed Courses page.
Students need to complete end End of Course Survey on the Completed Course Page.
End of Course Survey will need to be completed by all students who successfully complete each ICEU Youth Coaching Courses course final exam for them to generate their ICEU Youth Coaching Certificates. (Certificates are always available for completed courses on Completed Course Page).

About the Instructor
Mike Voight, Ph.D.,CC-AASP
Mike Voight, Ph.D, is a sport psychology-performance consultant who works with athletes and teams from all types and levels of competitive sport. His client list includes top collegiate and professional athletes, Olympic Champions, and a Heisman trophy winner.
He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Physical Education/Human Performance Department for Central Connecticut State University. Prior to that post, Mike was a lecturer for the Physical Education Department at The University of Southern California and The Kinesiology Department at California State University, Fullerton. Being a certified sport psychology consultant (AASP) and a former Division I collegiate coach, Mike integrates the most recent research and applications from the sport sciences to provide the most comprehensive, cutting-edge performance enhancement programming
Additionally, he wrote a line of mental toughness training books through Coaches Choice Publishing: Mental Toughness Training for Football (2005) Mental Toughness Training for Volleyball (2006); Mental Toughness Training for Soccer (2008), and Mental Toughness Training for Basketball, with former WNBA & Division I Coach JeffHouse (2010), and has several DVD's to his credit.
